African Print Cushions

£ 19.99 GBP

Our African Print Cushions embed all the same upcycling value we have at InUse-ReUse Furniture. Working with Brixton Brewery (https://www.brixtonbrewery.com/) based in the south-west of London, we collected a few of their empty and idle malt bags and asked Momso (https://www.momso.co.uk/) the sewing company also based in south London to convert them into lovely cushions. The Cushion is filled with flame retardant polyester filling with flame-retardant upholstery wool fabric covering the outer section of malt bag. The Kente cloth, which is the cushions cover fabric is a type of silk and cotton fabric made by interwoven cloth strips. The fabric originated with the Ashanti people of Ghana in West Africa and has a history dating back 375 years.
